Customise Your Shoulder Box

A shoulder box is a type of rigid packaging, typically made from sturdy cardboard or chipboard, known for its two-piece construction and distinctive "shoulder" feature. It is primarily used for luxury goods, gifts, and high-end retail products where presentation and protection are paramount.

What is a Shoulder Box?

A shoulder box consists of two main parts: a base and a lid. The defining characteristic is the internal shoulder or neck—a tray or insert glued inside the base. When the lid is placed on the box, it slides over this shoulder, creating a flush, seamless fit. This design provides extra wall thickness and structural integrity, making the box exceptionally sturdy and preventing the lid from shifting or coming off easily

Key Features and Benefits

Superior Protection: The rigid construction and internal shoulder make these boxes ideal for protecting delicate items like jewelry, electronics, or glassware from damage during shipping and handling

Luxury Presentation: The flush closure and clean lines give the box a high-end, premium look. They are often customized with finishes like foil stamping, embossing, or soft-touch lamination to enhance brand perception

Structured Unboxing: The design creates a layered reveal, where the lid is removed to expose the shoulder, and then the product is lifted from the base. This adds a sense of ceremony and value to the customer experience

Reusable:  Due to their durability, shoulder boxes are often kept by customers for storage, extending the life of the packaging and brand exposure
